What I Learned?

Last night and all day today I had my first Master's class since the middle of May and let me tell you it was kind of nice to get back together with my good friends. This weekend KIND OF helped me to get some motivation back into my body, but not so much that I am ready to go back to school, don't think that far!! :) I did learn many things this weekend though, like:
*My first draft of my literature review that I have been panicking I am doing wrong all week, makes sense and people thought it was actually really good
*That in 2 months I have to have a 350 page book read and I am not a reader (ok inside secret--I have known about this since May, but have been putting it off)
*School starts in 17 DAYS for teachers, AAAHHH!!! I am SO not ready to go back.
*I should be in full swing with my big research project by the time I go to class in September, WHAT?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Ok, really that was not too much of a shocker to me.
*I have some awesome friends there!!
What was your weekend like?

Randomness

Well, I am sure all of you out there in bloggy world are wondering what we have been up to the past month since we returned from the big honeymoon and have now officially been married for one month. Really, to be quite honest, not a whole lot. There is a whole list of things I should get done in the next 3 1/2 weeks before school starts, containing:
*My Master's Lit. Review
*The rest of our wedding thank-you's(just sent a bunch out this morning!)
*Clean our house
*Order the professional wedding pictures
*Finish getting my room ready at school
*Read more about Responsive Classroom, so I am ready to do implement it!
*...and the list could go on
But, I won't bore you with that. Jason has been back at work now for awhile. He and his partner just started building a house in Baltic, SD and are suppose to get 3 more houses enclosed in by the end of the year. He is staying VERY busy!! This is extremely good with how slow they say the housing market is lately, I have not noticed it with Jason at all, if anything it has picked up with him! I continue to enjoy my summer off, as you can obviously see by the LONG list of to do's. I really just hate to waste my summer doing the above list of stuff. I know that once school starts I will get back my motivation to do a lot of it, but the summer time is just not the time for this kind of business. I have enjoyed a few trips to the pool with my mom and other than that just enjoy doing NOTHING!! So this sums up what we have been up to the past month. What have you been doing this summer?

Unforgettable Honeymoon Memories!

It has been requested by a few people that I post some details about the honeymoon to the Bahamas, so without further ado her I go.
Jason and I had a fabulous time in the Bahamas. It was a VERY relaxing time for both of us, we really needed the time away. The resort we stayed at was all-inclusive, so everything on the resort was FREE, well we had already paid for it. The first night we got there they were setting up for this HUGE buffet out by the pool and there were a whole bunch of tables set up, we wondered, "What is going on?" So we asked our concierge desk, oh yes, we got some good service. Anyway the concierge said, "Setting up for a buffet." Since we knew no better we continued to ask, "For who?" That's when they said, "Anybody." WOW!!! SCORE!! This buffet was GINORMOUS and we certainly went right out and enjoyed ourselves. After all when you have already paid for food and drinks you are going to eat and drink all you can. I do think over the whole week we ate more than we actually drank. The food everywhere we went was AMAZING!!
We enjoyed many fun activities while we were there. On the Wednesday after we got there we had our "Dolphin Encounter" that we signed for before we even left. We boarded a bus at noon that day and did not get back to the resort till about 5:00pm. On our dolphin encounter we swam in the water with the dolphins, we got hugs and kisses from them and got to do the famous "foot push," where the dolphins push you by your feet across the water. The whole experience was amazing and something we will never forget.
On Friday we went snorkeling and saw many neat fish. This was our first time doing this and we thouroughly enjoyed it. I was a little scared after pulling up where we were to get in the water and we saw a shark. The guy driving the boat told us those are nurse sharks and they don't like to eat meat, well geez thank goodness because I wouldn't be getting in if they did!! :)
On Saturday we went parasailing. This is something we talked about since the first day we got there. This is something we had to pay for and it was not a cheap thing, but we both wanted to do it and I told Jason, "We're on vacation, we're doing it!!" So away we went in a boat. When we were finally there and ready to be put up in the sail and up into the air, I was not so sure anymore. I let Jason go first and he said it was so peaceful up there, so I thought what the heck!? I sat on the cord and away I went, it was a breathtaking experience and it was as Jason put it VERY peaceful!
These are 3 of the adventures we went on while we were there. The rest of our time was spent laying out on chairs by the pool. We had to get into the pool about every 15 minutes because the humidity down there is so unbearable. One day at 5pm it was still 107 degree heat index, it was just scorching HOT, but I am NOT complaining. We just got in the water, walked up to the pool bar, ordered a drink and walked around in the pool. We got TONS of sun and had TONS of fun!!
Here is a little slideshow of pictures from our trip that you all might enjoy, I have all the pictures in photo albums and will bring them when I see each of you, so you can see the whole trip.
